Sunset in Venice

Take me to Venice
Where the sun is always setting
And I can forever walk on water.

Let me take a stroll through the canals
To see the artist emulating
The sublimity of the city on a canvas.

Can I sit with my gnocchi
And have the church bells chime
The only acknowledgement of the passing time.

Let me drink fine wine
Not fresh off the vine but already in my glass
Which is only possible
Where the sun is always setting.
